Affiliate marketing is an easy and simple way to make money online. You don’t need a massive list of customers who buy whenever you email them with the technique described below. Several people who  have used this technique have made over a thousand dollars a month, plus it’s very easy to do.

Firstly, you need a broad niche such as health, cars, weight loss, hobbies, pets etc.

Secondly, ensure you can find plenty of digital products for your niche. Check out companies such as ClickBank.com or do a search in a search engine to find affiliate products with a high affiliate percentage payout.

Pick just one product first. Next, buy it or ask the owner for a review copy, because that is the next step. You are going to write an in depth review. You are not going to write sales copy. Go to EzineArticles, or GoArticles to find out how to write a review, or search with a search engine.

Reviewing isn’t all that hard, it’s like anything, the first one is the hardest. The more you do, the easier and faster you’ll be able to do them.

Once you’ve got the product and written a review, you’ll need a blog where you can post it. You can use HubPages.com or create a Squidoo Lens or use Blogger.com or WordPress.org to create a free blog. Alternatively you can buy a domain name and host a WordPress blog yourself quite easily. If you need a domain host, I recommend Just Host because they are very inexpensive, yet reliable and have great customer service.

Create carefully crafted links for the end of your review that link to the affiliate product, so your readers can buy it.

The next step is to get traffic to see your new review post. Start by using an RSS submitter tool, then submit your blog RSS feed to all the directories you can. This will start your traffic.

If you’re on any social networks such as Facebook, MySpace or Twitter, tell your followers about your review.

What I do next is to write an article on the topic of the product I’ve just reviewed. If you don’t want to write the article, pay a ghost writer to do it for you. As part of your research for your article writing, you need to do some keyword research.

You’re looking for easy to rank for keywords that are related to your product but doesn’t have a lot of competition. There are a lot of software programs online that will help you determine easy to rank for keywords. You’ll need 2-3 easy to rank for keywords per product.

Now take one of those keywords and use it as the link back in your article resource box, as well as scattering it throughout your article. Backlinks are vital to getting good search engine results and submitting articles is a great way to build up backlinks.

Take your other keywords you have, and use other ways to get backlinks for them. Either have more articles written or learn more ways to get backlinks. Believe me, there are tons of ways to get backlinks and many of them are free.

Once you’ve done this and you start to see some income, it’s time to find a new product to repeat the process with.
